The European Association for Cooperation with Palestine, ASECOP, makes an urgent and general call to Spanish institutions, citizens and associations for immediate support to the Palestinian people in these tragic moments in which the destruction and barbarity carried out by the Palestinian army Israel is causing terror among the Palestinian population of the Gaza Strip.
Once again, the Israeli army once again fails to comply with its obligations as an occupying power and any semblance of international humanitarian law, unleashing criminal collective punishment on the civilian population of Gaza.
After years of blockade of the Gaza Strip, in which the region has been turned into an immense prison and the normal coexistence of the Palestinian people has been prevented, a large part of the health, educational, productive and area communication. The umpteenth military offensive declared by the Israelis has once again caused a massacre among all segments of the civilian population in which more than 8,000 people have already lost their lives, including more than 3,000 boys and girls. This fact represents a true genocide and a clear violation of international conventions. The indiscriminate attacks do not respect schools, religious centers, or hospitals. The population of Gaza immediately needs food (basic food bags), medicines for chronic patients, nutritional supplements for pregnant women, powdered milk for babies and mattresses, fuel and drinking water.
ASECOP calls on civil society and Spanish institutions to mobilize demanding the immediate cessation of the invasion and this massacre, accentuated by the blockade that prevents the supply of food and the most basic emergency humanitarian and health material, and Express your solidarity through financial contributions intended for the purchase of food, medicine and emergency medical supplies to care for the Palestinian population.
LLAMAMIENTO DE SOLIDARIDAD CON EL PUEBLO PALESTINO
La Asociación Europea de Cooperación con Palestina, ASECOP, hace un llamamiento, urgente y general, a las instituciones, ciudadanos y asociaciones españolas para un apoyo inmediato al pueblo palestino en estos momentos trágicos en los que la destrucción y la barbarie ejercida por el ejército de Israel están causando el terror entre la población palestina de la franja de Gaza.
De nuevo, el ejército de Israel vuelve a incumplir sus obligaciones como potencia ocupante y cualquier atisbo de derecho humanitario internacional desencadenando un criminal castigo colectivo sobre la población civil de Gaza.
Tras años de bloqueo de la franja de Gaza, en los que se ha convertido a la región en una inmensa prisión y se ha impedido la normal convivencia del pueblo palestino, se han destruido una gran parte de la infraestructura sanitaria, educativa, productiva y de comunicación de la zona. La enésima ofensiva militar declarada por los israelíes ha provocado, de nuevo, una masacre entre todos los segmentos de la población civil en la que ya han perdido la vida más de 8.000 personas, entre ellos más de 3.000 niños y niñas. Este hecho representa un auténtico genocidio y una clara violación de los convenios internacionales. Los ataques indiscriminados no respetan ni escuelas, ni centros religiosos, ni hospitales. La población de Gaza necesita de forma inmediata alimentos (bolsas de alimentos básicos), medicamentos para enfermos crónicos, complementos nutricionales para mujeres embarazadas, leche en polvo para bebés y colchones, combustible y agua potable.
ASECOP realiza un llamamiento a la sociedad civil y las instituciones españolas para que se movilicen exigiendo el cese inmediato de la invasión y de esta masacre, acentuada por el bloqueo que impide el suministro de alimentos y del material humanitario y sanitario de urgencia más elemental, y manifiesten su solidaridad mediante las aportaciones económicas destinadas a la compra de alimentos, medicinas y material sanitario de urgencia para atender a la población palestina.
